Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is a special place.  The sheer number of visitors to some of the Park's most accessible lochshore areas, combined with irresponsible camping over a number of years has caused significant damage to both the environment and to other people's enjoyment of parts of the National Park.

Following a public consultation, and subsequent approval by Scottish Ministers, on 1st March 2017 new seasonal byelaws come into effect in Camping Management Zones covering less than 4% of the National Park.  In these areas, between March and September each year, camping will only be permitted in campsites or in camping permit areas.  Some of these permit areas are also suited to motorhomes and campervans.

If you are coming to camp in the National Park, please plan ahead.
